Internal evaluation from environmental health department of Damghan faculty of health, in Semnan university of medical sciences

Introduction: The main aim of internal evaluation in all aspects is to promote the quality of the affairs. Internal evaluation from the present condition during administering the process will cause the desirable feedback. It determines the level of approach to the objectives and success. It may reveal problems and difficulties. Materials and Methods: To do this, the objectives, the desirable criteria and conditions were determined at the current situation, by the members of department. Then, 14 questionnaires were designed in the field of educational quality, student evaluation organization structure evaluation and the space of educational sector and equipments. The rankings in the from of excellent, good, medium, weak and too weak were considered in the questionnaires on the basis of Likert scale by using 1-5 scores, respectively. Results: The results showed the following evaluation educational quality (70.3%, good), student evaluation (79.84%, good) evaluation of the faculty members (73.5%, medium), man power (60%, medium), publication sector (71.4%, good), plumbing workshop (76.2%, good), laboratory (66.5%, medium) and audiovisual sector (50%, medium). Although, computer sector (63.8%, medium) setting up the pumps (51.4%, good), classroom (45.7%, weak), library and the other spaces 26.7 and 21.1, too weak), respectively. Conclusion: This study suggested the evaluation of educational quality (70.3%, good), student evaluation 79.84% good, organization structure (70.3%, good), the space of the educational sector and equipments (51.1%, medium). Generally, the internal evaluation of department was 64.4% medium.
