Introduction: The early onset of rehabilitation has an important role in repair of peripheral nerve after injuries along with sensory and motor developments. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to compare the recovery rates in median and ulnar nerves and the effective factors in this improvement, year after rehabilitation. Materials and Methods: Sensory and motor functions were evaluated in 33 patients with Ulnar and Median nerve damages, who had been treated by the same surgeon and therapist, by two specialists. Results: participants, %69.7 were males and %30.3 were females with the average age of 31years. Ulnar, was the nerve with the highest rate of injury  (%54.5) and the rest %30.3 injuries were belong to the Median and %15.2 injuries occurred in both Ulnar and Median nerves. The average time interval of the surgery until the beginning of rehabilitation was 10 days. The recovery of sensory and motor function in median nerve injuries was greater in comparison to ulnar nerve damages. Comparing the average changes in ulnar and median nerves injuries in two male and female groups showed no significant difference. Based on the multi-variable Regression, the age was the most important factor in the recovery of the nerve injuries. Conclusion: This study showed that the recovery of the senses and movements in the case of Median nerve injuries was greater than ulnar injuries. The sensory improvement was the most important aspect in this injury treatment and it is also effective in other aspects of the recovery. If the time interval between the surgery and the beginning of rehabilitation was shorter, the outcome of the sensory improvement was better.
